RTA Meeting Re-Cap and Up-Coming Events

We had the most gorgeous crisp spring morning for our meeting and so we took full advantage of the pleasant weather and began our meeting outside to meet and greet fellow members and guests.

Perry welcomed the group with enthusiasm for the terrific turnout as we all enjoyed a delicious lunch and shared our business information and charitable initiatives.

Walter Brady kicked off the meeting sharing with us “8 Secrets From Power Networking Pros

Next up was Amir Asadi, a Mass Mutual adviser, explained how he identifies as a Rotarian, and how he believes in service above self. “Give without expectations.”  Its a key factor in deliberately creating the kind of experiences we want more of, and sharing that happiness with our clients.

Asea Health & Wellness Associate Walter Brady, told us how he provides products to enhance your body with what it needs to stay active and healthy longer.

Ryan Smith of Play Nice Together explained how he specializes in digital design, technology & marketing, making sure you’re all set in the digital world.

Walter Camas, Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley, told us how he helps his clients translate their life goals into financial objectives, and create highly customized plans to achieve them.

We then heard from John Fallon, IT Consulting & Support with JMK Technology Group.  John’s company reviews your technology needs with over 100+ companies to find you the best solution for your needs.

Cesar Callan, Partner with Law Offices of Callan & Byrnes, Personal Injury Firm, shared how his work is not popular work and yet he maintains his clients dignity. A recent client thanked him saying “Cesar, you never made me feel dirty”. Cesar is in charge of finding you the right lawyer for the right matter.  His firm has been practicing for 34 years in NYC and is also located in Westchester.

We then heard from Michael Innocenzi, Owner of Arthur Murray Dance Studios. Michael’s dance studio has been in business for 106 years.  Michael’s parents started in 1957 and himself since 1996. People have shared with him personal messages how Arthur Murray has changed their life. “I make people happy for a living.” says Michael.

Kevin Brown, of Hudson Barter Exchange shared how he helps companies to trade for what they want. HBX has just aligned with a new relationship which is another massive barter exchange company.  For instance they are liquidating 2.6 million print artwork pieces and also has some highly sought after travel packages available and especially hot is the Woodlock vacation.

Sue Lara, Owner of Sir Speedy explained how her printing company can help your business whether you need top-notch printing or a fully developed and integrated marketing campaign, she is ready to help.  Sue shared how her printing services is the bread and butter and do a great deal of signs, banners, posters & marketing.

Up next was Jim Newhouse of Newhouse Financial life & Health Insurance company.  Jim has been putting financial houses in order since 1980, protecting what’s important to you and helping you meet your goals.

We then heard from Carol Christiansen, Principal Broker at Cafe Realty.  Carol’s team consists of listing specialists, buyer specialists, and a transaction coordinator to guide you through the process and keep you informed every step of the way.

Brian Campbell, Managing Partner at Rockland Pro a Accounting and Consulting firm, explained how his company offers finance payroll hr, IT solutions an  assists clients who face challenges with finance, business operations, and technology. They are a trusted advisor and strategic partner in the professional services industry.

RTA founder Perry DiNapoli of The Briarcliff Manor shared that The Briarcliff Manor is a full service venue embodying a blend of old-world charm and contemporary elegance.

Next up was our RTA guests, starting with Jay Hitt, musician, songwriter, arranger and performer.  Jay’s folk style speaks to the listener of the simple joys found in everyday life.  Thank you to Jay who gave each of us one of his latest CD.

We heard from Maria Solazzo of Always Impressive, an Invitation company providing exceptional products, expert advice and personal service and has become the invitation studio of choice in Westchester County.  “We pride ourselves on carrying only the finest products and delivering reliable service at a great price.”

Maria Valente owner of Chocolations told us how she has been making chocolate for 30 yrs and in business for 12. She’s local and best buds with Maria Salonzo, shes 5 stores down.  “All of our chocolate is made fresh on our premises using all natural premium chocolate and provides wedding favors, corp gifts, parties favors, custom creations and much more.

Up next was James Loewenberg, Branch Manager at KeyBank.  KeyBank is offering low rates at 4.99% for a fixed 5 years, 4.75 business line credits and for commercial loans and refi.’s they will give you $5k toward your closing costs.

Tara Loewenburg, of Better Qualified, a credit management company, explained how they start with evaluating your credit report and history to help to us understand your financial situation.  They then work tirelessly on your behalf to get you into a better place financially.

Angella Henry, Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator with A.S.A.P. Mortgage corp., explained how her company works with bad credit and low scores and find a better mortgage for your needs.

Up next was Jenna Roach, Title Closer at Cobble Stone Abstract, who told us how she wears 2 hats. She handles title insurance for commercial and residential mortgages in Yorktown but her real love is for flipping houses. She is looking to network with contractors and home improvement suppliers.

Andrea Geraghty  of PrimePay Payroll Services shared how his company runs your payroll while you run your business, it’s that simple. PrimePay has been in business for 30 years and is the largest payroll company in the country.

Chris Nealon of Christopher Studios provides photographic services for all types of events, weddings, head shots and can provide social media content for your job, website photos and flying drones for Realtors.

Lastly we heard from guest, Larry Gillet owner of H&H Photographers who has been producing the finest photography and film making in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area.  H&H has always been a source for creativity, community and customer service and a family business originated by his dad in 1945.

In closing, Perry implored members to invite the industry related needed members.

Michael Innocenzi, shared with us that Arthur Murray Dance Studios is having a Dancing Stars Fundraiser where 9 instructors donate approximately $50k in lesson value.

Ceasar Callan announced the Somers Lions Independence Day Block Party with 6 bands, fireworks, food trucks, amusement for the kids.  Its June 30th. They collect about $105k a year and gives it all away to those in need.

Kevin Brown announced  Mascia Music Festival in Tarrytown.  The festival is next May 19, 2018, 12-9pm featuring a full nine hour program of live music by Stella Blues Band (The Ultimate Grateful Dead Tribute), Soul Shine (An Allman Brothers Experience) and Damn the Torpedoes (A Tribute to Tom Petty and The Heart Breakers). There will also be delicious food and beverages available on site. Kevin also backed up Maria Valente and her delicious chocolates that are amazing “you will be deeply loved” when you give her chocolate to someone.

Lastly Perry DiNapoli asked all to join him for a Pig Roast to benefit the Leukemia Lyphoma Society and support Ossining resident Gio Toribio on a quest for a cancer research grant in his name. There will be a fantastic buffet, wine, beer, live music, silent auction, raffle, cigars and loads of fun! We hope you will join us on June 6, 2018, 7pm-10pm.

RTA March Meeting Follow up

Greetings All,

Aprils Monthly RTA luncheon meeting had a nice size turnout with many new members and guests gaining new insight from stories and experiences we shared with each other.

Perry DiNapoli, of The Briarcliff Manor, opened the meeting by sharing the experience of the completion of the new construction of the Manor’s banquet space.  He and his crew create memorable events for guest of 100 – 150 where you are treated like family.  He shared with us his venture with Boca Lago and the process of how he came to the decision to step away from it and how knowing someone and trusting someone doesn’t always determine what is best in business.

Lisa Sauro, RTA’s new Communications Director, will be cultivating the interactions of the RTA group to help to solidify member relationships. Look for new website features coming soon!

Up first was guest, Kara Planamento and Steven Burchard of Magical Memories providing anywhere from 1 to 20 entertainers, from clowns to sword swallowers and has booked thousands of parties.  Ryan Smith of PlayNiceTogether spoke about his company and how he provides custom solutions for your comany’s web site and can design your logo.  Jim Newhouse of Newhouse Financial & Insurance Brokers, helps small to large companies with employee benefits. He has mastered the conversion of the technical language so it makes sense.  Brian Heyman, a Business Performance Advisor with Insperity, matches you with a package of HR solutions such as health benefits that fit your business.

We then heard from Anthony Farsetta & Andre Geraghty of PrimePay providing payroll solutions for companies with 1 – 115 employees and supports their clients with resources so as to never leave their clients side and stay involved.  Walter Brady of ASEA health and wellness, loves life at 72 and wants to live younger and longer. Ask him about his racquetball skills, no doubt the man is a living example of an age defier!

Next up was Daniel Aucar, the Operations Manager for Leros Point to Point, which provides worldwide chauffeured services, party busses and is the go to choice when it comes to transports of guest of the Briarcliff Manor.  Michael Powers of Arthur Murray Dance Studio’s of Yonkers, White Planes & Mt. Kisco shared how Arthur Murray has been established for a staggering 106 years! The dance studio is great for those who want to try something different or try something new and how the dance studio is just another vehicle for a new experience.

Guest Jacob Ling, Sales Director for Figure, talked about how his company is unique in the way they feature ipad Point of Sales and pointed out that with all the breach of data problems with other systems like Square Space, Figure does not own your data.  Kevin Brown of Hudson Barter Exchange,  loves to learn about business’s and the exchanging of information and how he is putting it out to all members of HBX. Kevin also made a point to give a big shout out to Steve & Cara for their excellent service and for being on top of their game when it comes to providing entertainment services.

Giving the room an energetic boost was long time RTA member Amir Asadi, Insurance and Investment Strategist with Mass Mutual. He helps protect life, health &  wealth and inspires you to think of you and your family. He loves what he does, life and people who enhance it.  It’s good to be alive!  He spoke of the Child Care Council of Westchester and the importance of getting involved.

Also joining us was guest Paolo Conte, an estate planning attorney who puts out fires by drafting wills to first put out the sparks. James Loewenberg, Branch Manager for Key Bank in Ossining offered a whopping $5,000 incentive to move your banking relationship to Key Bank.  Walter Camas, Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley, shared how his clients are human beings not numbers, and is accessible anytime of the day. He truly cares about their life and with allot of noise going on in the markets these days, you have to be ready.

Injury Attorney, Ceasar Callin says its a sad day if you are bodily injured.  First he gives you support and will lead you to the right person and has great respect for his clients. He explained how recently he forfeited compensation when the right thing was to guide his client to go for a workers compensation package rather than having his company claim the settlement, because it was the right thing to do.

Carol Christiansen of Cafe Realty, energy, enthusiasm, empathy. Its not about the transaction, it’s about the transition. She also spoke about how there is a serious drug crisis in our backyard.  Carol has been on Cuomo’s panel and on television advocating for a call to action. Sue Lara, Owner of Sir Speedy, offers printing, sign making and marketing – keeping it simple.  When you call her store, a live person will always answer the phone and care about their customers.

Before the meetings closing, we again heard from Jim Newhouse who took the floor to share how touched he was by Carol’s “Drugs in Our Backyard” efforts and was surprised how large it has spread and the impact on families and urged everyone to donate.  Ceasar Callin also noted to please take the time to talk with your children about medicines prescribed and to consider getting involved in a mentoring program.  And Amir Asadi urged everyone to help to post his Child Care Council of Westchester info in every storefront possible.

In closing, Walter Brady competed the meeting by educating us with the  “Top 10 Reasons Why Business Relationships Are Important

It was again a wonderful meeting with like minded business enthusiast!

Our last meeting re-cap:
Perry kicked off the meeting with a positive conversation pushing everyone to reach for an all in attitude in order to keep growth forefront with success being the inevitable.  He spoke about The Briarcliff Manor seeking an additional sales executive and learning that for greater success, its better to search the Indeed resumes, opposed to posting an Indeed help wanted ad.

Joining us were RTA members Walter Brady of ASEA Health & Wellness Products, Tom Cameron of Digitalputting.com, John Fallen IT Consulting & Support, Personal Injury attorney Cesar Callan and Ryan Smith of Play Nice Together, all sharing aspects of their business.

Kevin Brown of the Hudson Barter Exchange shed light on what a big Dentistry barter week it had been and how beneficial a tool HBX has always been for summer campers.  Carol Christiansen of Cafe Realty has the Freshly Brewed Approach when it comes to real estate and how she supports “The Walk Over The Hudson” non-profit fund raiser.  Michael Powers of Authur Murray Dance Studio’s encouraged everyone to try a class with many RTA members speaking out adding that not only are the classes a great healthy exercise but more so a fantastic social aspect.  Michael also gave us some insight on a new clause hidden in leasing contracts and what to be aware of before signing one.

We welcomed RTA guests Donvil Collins from VeeKast -Event & Video services & Fundraising Thermometer and Tracy Reimann, Estate – Business and Eldecare Attorney along with Frances Cicogna owner of the Money Mailer of Northeast Westchester & Putnam.

Time flew with so many conversations and ideas shared all while indulging in a delicious lunch providing for another overall productive successful RTA meeting.
